Anna Dressed in Blood:
Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-kills-people story...
Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father’s mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn’t expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he’s never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
And she, for whatever reason, spares his life.
While it's listed as YA I would be careful who reads this book due to graphic language and violence.
With that said THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME!!! The gore! The violence! The ACTION! I had my doubts when I picked up this book, but after reading the first 2 pages I couldn't put it down until it was finished.
Cas Kills ghosts? Hard to believe, but it's true. He travels the globe at the requests of people who have ghosts or ghost legends. Anna is a diabolic, evil, murderous ghost...Has Cas met his match? One of my favorite characters is Tybalt. Who is he? Read it and find out! I will warn you that you may want to read this spook-tacular thriller with the lights ON. When you're finished look for the sequel GIRL OF NIGHTMARES: Happy reading!

My Soul to Steal by Rachel Vincent
My Soul to Steal:
Trying to work things out with Nash—her maybe boyfriend—is hard enough for Kaylee Cavanaugh. She can't just pretend nothing happened. But "complicated" doesn't even begin to describe their relationship when his ex-girlfriend transfers to their school, determined to take Nash back.
See, Sabine isn't just an ordinary girl. She's a mara, the living personification of a nightmare. She can read people's fears—and craft them into nightmares while her victims sleep. Feeding from human fear is how she survives.
And Sabine isn't above scaring Kaylee and the entire school to death to get whatever—and whoever—she wants
Who can you trust when everyone has let you down? Who can you trust when your own mind deceives you? Kaylee faces her hardest challenge to date learning to trust when you don't have a reason to. Trying to piece her life back together after Nash's betrayal and she gets a new blow. Nash's crazy, obsessed ex-girlfriend shows up after 2 years with one goal...To get Nash back at any cost. The fourth installment of the Soul Screamers Saga gets yet another ***** in my book for suspense, Drama, and Action!
I like Kaylee's new empowered attitude she doesn't take crap from anyone anymore not Sophie, her dad or Sabine! Emma gets sucked deeper into Kaylee's world. Tod and Kaylee's relationship is taking a new turn and he's proving himself quite a knight in shining armor! Nash is struggling to get better, I can't help but love him even after all he's done.
I am engulfed in this saga so I'm going to pace myself before I run out of books, but I am fully invested in Rachel Vincent! This book does not disappoint and I have a feeling the rest of the series will be worth the read! Happy reading!

My Soul to Keep by Rachel Vincent
My Soul to Keep:
Kaylee has one addiction: her very hot, very popular boyfriend, Nash. A banshee like Kaylee, Nash understands her like no one else. Nothing can come between them.Until something does.Demon breath. No, not the toothpaste-challenged kind. The Netherworld kind. The kind that really can kill you. Somehow the super-addictive substance has made its way to the human world. But how? Kaylee and Nash have to cut off the source and protect their friends—one of whom is already hooked. And so is someone else…
The third book of the Soul Screamers Saga keeps in true form with the two previous books...enticing. From the first page Rachel Vincent pulls you in and if I hadn't been reading on a tablet I'd have a pointy nose from the inside of the book!
I give this book a reluctant ***** due to the fact that Kaylee broke my heart. The writing as always is impeccable. I don't think I may ever be able to criticize Rachel Vincent's writing. I can only complain that life (even fiction) doesn't always turn out the way I'd like it to.
With that said I love the growth of the characters! Tod has emerged in his own right as loyal to a fault. I find myself liking him more than I intended to. On the plus side, I like Sophie less than I thought I could. Her character may never grow, but every story needs a villian and Sophie gives the Hellions a run for thier money. Emma's life gets more complicated due to the Netherworld's ever constant presence in Kaylee's life, but she takes in stride in true Emma style. The things she deals with and yet remains by Kaylee's side is something to envy in a friendship. Minor characters make major appearences in this book leaving white knuckles to the reader.
Avari the Hellion of Avarice and his unrelenting quest for Kaylee's soul takes a sickening turn in this book. This time he makes an offer she may not be able to refuse. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did and if not..."It's not my problem". I am too eager to read the next book in the series My Soul to Steal Happy Reading!
I find that Closer by Kings of Leon is a must have while reading this book:

My Soul to Save by Rachel Vincent
When Kaylee Cavanaugh screams, someone dies.So when teen pop star Eden croaks onstage and Kaylee doesn’t wail, she knows something is dead wrong. She can’t cry for someone who has no soul.
The last thing Kaylee needs right now is to be skipping school, breaking her dad’s ironclad curfew and putting her too-hot-to-be-real boyfriend’s loyalty to the test. But starry-eyed teens are trading their souls: a flickering lifetime of fame and fortune in exchange for eternity in the Netherworld—a consequence they can’t possibly understand.
Kaylee can’t let that happen, even if trying to save their souls means putting her own at risk...
My Soul to Save:
The second book in the Soul Screamers Saga picks up right where the last book left off. I give this book *****. Most sequels I am stuck reading 1/2 of the book that recaps the book before, this one starts immediately and sprinkles in the past as you read not interrupting the story.
Kaylee's dad is making up for lost time in uber protective mode as she learns to harness her "Gifts".
Tod has a much larger role in this story which is good at times and scary at others. After reading this story I'll definitely never look at Hollywood the same.
The Netherworld comes alive and terrifies you with it's creatures, and man eating vegetation! I feel drawn into the Nether world and the imagery is INTENSE!
Even though Addison is a victim I find it hard to like her though I'm compelled to sympathize with her struggles.
I found this book hard to put down and the series is eventful and it flows nicely so I'm truly excited to read the next book My Soul To Keep Happy Reading!
Lacuna Coil is a must to listen to while reading this series! http://youtu.be/VTT6picaCoQ

My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent

She doesn't see dead people. She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.
Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next.
The first book in the Soul Screamers Saga I give this story *****. Kaylee is relate able and Emma is lovable! I had reservations about this story, but right away this story sucks you in and holds you until the end then leaves you wanting more!
I love the flow of this story and who doesn't love action, Suspense, and death? The characters are multi dimensional and lifelike: Kaylee the abandoned motherless outcast, Nash the heroic heartthrob who can melt my heart any day, Tod for a little comedy relief, Emma the hot girl who has time for the local nobody, Harmony the mother we all wish we had, and Sophie the girl you love to hate...
The book is set in Texas with a few references to other cities. The actual details of the settings could have been beefed up a little, but the the events of the story kept the pace moving smoothly.
Some moments of the book were hard to read due to the intense emotional element. Rachel Vincent knows how to write a gripping novel.
There were moments that brought tears to my eyes, made me laugh, and kept me on the edge of my seat. I have recommended this story and would to any one with a love of Mythology twisted into modern life. I look forward to reading the next book My Soul To Save. Happy Reading!
